Standard
methods of repairing cracks in concrete slabs: basic
info
-
Prepare
the crack by using a diamond wheel crack chaser
to V out the crack and to remove loose concrete.
-
Clean
all debris out of the crack and vacuum where possible.
-
Diamond
saw cut across the crack if stitching dogs are to
be applied. Bond in place the stitching dogs using
approved material.
-
The
repair product i.e. epoxy, polyurea or urethane
is poured into the crack and leveled off. Some materials
allow for aggregate to be added such as sand with
or without stone. Products may vary in method ,
cost and cure time.
-
Diamond
grinding of the surface may be required with some
products or cracks to level the repair across the
crack
-
A
correctly repaired crack typically is stronger than
the original concrete.

more effectively.
- Expansion
joints or cuts are in the concrete for a reason, it
is not recommended to seal over. Flexible products
