Carbon Fiber Contractor Resources — NextStar Technologies

Volume Pricing, ASTM Test Reports, Technical Data Sheets, and Free Technical Support for Foundation Repair Contractors.

NextStar Technologies supplies carbon fiber foundation repair materials to contractors across Canada and the northern United States. This page covers volume pricing, available technical documentation, how to request ASTM test reports for permit and engineering submissions, and how to reach our technical support team.

Volume Pricing for Contractors

Contractors purchasing for multiple jobs benefit from bulk roll pricing rather than per-strap kit pricing. NextStar sells carbon fiber fabric by the roll — the same fiber and resin system as the retail kits — at significantly lower per-linear-foot cost for high-volume users.

To inquire about contractor volume pricing:

Provide your business name, province or state, and approximate annual volume when inquiring. Volume pricing is available for contractors with consistent purchase history.

Carbon Fiber Product Line Summary

Product Primary Application Tensile Strength ASTM Data
8" 300GSM Standard poured concrete walls 4,100 MPa fiber TDS on request
12" 300GSM CMU block and cinder block walls 4,100 MPa fiber TDS on request
6" 600GSM High soil load, walls >9ft, curved walls Double fiber density TDS on request
6" 450GSM Engineered repairs, permit submissions Full laminated test data D3039 / D7264 / D2344

See Materials Selection Guide for full product comparison and width/GSM selection guidance.

Technical Documentation Available on Request

  • Product Technical Data Sheets (TDS) — fiber architecture, areal weight, tensile properties, epoxy specification, surface preparation requirements, and cure schedule
  • Epoxy Technical Data Sheet — ASTM C-881 compliance documentation, mixing ratio, pot life by temperature, working time, and cure schedule
  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) — for carbon fiber fabric and both epoxy components, required for workplace safety compliance
  • Installation Guide — step-by-step procedure with surface preparation, epoxy application, wet-out, and tap test specifications

Request documentation by email at info@nextstartech.com or phone 780-402-9558. Specify the product and intended use (residential repair, permit submission, engineering specification) when requesting.

ASTM Test Reports for Permit and Engineering Submissions

When a building permit or structural engineer requires documented laminated composite material test data, specify the 6" 450GSM product. It is the only NextStar carbon fiber product with published laminated test data from independent ASTM testing covering all three standard values engineers specify:

  • ASTM D3039 — Tensile properties of the laminated composite system (tensile strength and modulus)
  • ASTM D7264 — Flexural properties of the laminated composite system (flexural strength and modulus)
  • ASTM D2344 — Short-beam interlaminar shear strength of the laminated composite

These are laminated composite test values — the actual installed system — not dry fiber values. This distinction matters for permit reviewers and structural engineers who understand the difference.

To request ASTM test reports, email info@nextstartech.com with subject line "ASTM Test Reports Request." Include your project name and the name of the engineer or permit office requesting the documentation.

Free Technical Support

NextStar provides free technical support to contractors and serious DIYers on carbon fiber installation questions. Support available for:

  • Product selection for specific wall types, soil conditions, or engineering requirements
  • Surface preparation — CSP requirements, moisture testing, outgassing prevention
  • Epoxy application — mixing, pot life, temperature effects, wet-out technique
  • Anchor selection and installation by wall type and joist orientation
  • Troubleshooting — delamination, cure issues, substrate problems
  • Documentation requests for permit submissions and engineering reviews
