Bulk Carbon Fiber Fabric & Epoxy — Unidirectional Straps by the Foot

Reinforce poured concrete or block walls with industrial-grade, unidirectional carbon fiber supplied in bulk rolls and paired with StarTech structural epoxy. Order by the foot (10 ft minimum) with automatic bulk discounts at higher lengths. Unidirectional fiber minimizes elongation under load to resist movement and prevent re‑cracking better than woven/bi‑directional fabrics.

  • Uncut unidirectional carbon fiber in a roll (choose width & GSM below).
  • StarTech structural epoxy supplied proportionally to the length and width ordered.
  • Consumables scaled to order size: tray, roller(s), square trowels, mixing bucket, gloves, and printed instructions. (Surface grinding/prep tools not included.)
  • Complete set of Instructions and Technical support

Strap spacing guidance: Install vertical straps about 4 ft on center (closer spacing is OK for weak sections). For windows/openings, strap on both sides; use horizontal runs to bridge openings when needed.

How to Choose the Right Carbon Fiber: Width and Weight Guide

Choose your width & GSM

4 in × 300 GSM
  • Best for: Windows, doors, corners, small areas in concrete walls; overlapping straps; narrow columns.
  • Epoxy (per 10 ft): ~300 mL.
  • Notes: Install side‑by‑side to equal 8 in × 300 GSM where a wider bond area is needed; excellent for tight spaces and detail work.

8 in × 300 GSM
  • Best for: Standard wall straps; corners; openings; moderate bowing.
  • Epoxy (per 10 ft): ~600 mL.
  • Notes: Balanced width for larger bond area; commonly paired with the 54 ft DIY kit spec.

12 in × 300 GSM
  • Best for: Weak/compromised block or concrete where load must be spread over a larger area.
  • Epoxy (per 10 ft): ~900 mL.
  • Notes: Wider strap increases bonding area to resist debonding under higher loads.

6 in × 450 GSM
  • Best for: High‑strength strap where poured concrete is sufficiently strong
  • Epoxy (per 10 ft): ~900 mL.
  • Notes: Includes tested mechanical properties; supplied with full epoxy kit.

6 in × 600 GSM
  • Best for: General high load reinforcement on poured walls; curved areas; re‑crack prevention.
  • Epoxy (per 10 ft): ~900 mL.
  • Notes: Versatile contractor choice; use vertical straps or horizontal bridging as needed.

Why unidirectional carbon fiber

Unidirectional fibers lay flat and restrain the highest load under load without movement, delivering a stiffer, more stable reinforcement that better protects prior crack repairs compared to woven/bi‑directional fabrics. The epoxy matrix saturates the fibers and bonds them to the concrete, creating a high‑strength composite that resists tensile forces and limits wall movement.

Quick specifications

  • Material: Dry, unidirectional carbon fiber fabric (structural grade)
  • Widths: 4 in, 6 in, 8 in, 12 in (others by request)
  • Basis weights: 300, 450, 600 GSM (per option above)
  • Epoxy: StarTech structural fiber‑matrix epoxy; 2:1 mix; moisture‑tolerant; long work time; cures to high strength
  • Typical uses: Vertical wall straps, horizontal “bridge” straps, retaining walls, corners/lintels, curved surfaces

Install overview (summary)

  1. Prep the wall to clean, sound concrete; grind coating/paint; vacuum dust thoroughly.
  2. Layout & cut straps to length; dry‑fit around obstacles/openings.
  3. Mix epoxy (2:1) and apply a bed to the wall and saturate the strap.
  4. Place & consolidate the strap; use roller/trowel to drive epoxy through the fabric; add epoxy as needed until fully saturated.
  5. Finish edges; allow to cure before coating/painting.

Ordering tips

  • Use 4 in × 300 GSM for detail areas (windows, doors, corners) or to create custom widths by placing straps side‑by‑side.
  • Choose 8 in × 300 GSM for a balanced, wide bonding area on typical walls.
  • Select 12 in × 300 GSM where concrete/block is weak or where the load must be spread over a larger area.
  • Go with 6 in × 600/450 GSM for strong substrates that need stiff reinforcement and re‑crack prevention.
  • When in doubt, start with closer strap spacing (≤ 4 ft) and add horizontal bridging near openings.

Carbon fiber foundation repair straps in 4–12 in widths. Order by the foot with epoxy included—stabilize cracked or bowed block and poured walls. DIY or pro.
